Farmington Area Cleaners

Are your rugs experiencing dirt buildup or fading? Let Great American Chem-Dry restore your area rugs back to their original beauty! Our cleaning products are different because they won’t ever leave sticky dirt-attracting residue, which means your rugs will stay cleaner longer. The team here at Chem-Dry gives you the option of getting your rug cleaning in your home or at our rug cleaning facility. It takes about 5-7 business days at our shop. If we clean it at your home, we put a plastic barrier beneath the rug to protect your hardwood floors, tile, or other surfaces. We use dye blockers so there is no color bleeding, guaranteed!

The Rug Cleaning Process At Our Facility

  1. Initial Dry Cleaning & Dusting – The main purpose of rug beating is to remove any of the dirt and grit that may be embedded into the rug fibers. If this is not done, the debris tends to stay between the fibers and eventually works its way into the base of the rug.
  2. Rug Bath – We give your rug a deep cleaning by fully submerging your area rug in our safe cleaning solutions, which work to remove any stains and dirt that is present. If your rug has pet stains, odors, or urine-soaked sections, we’ll apply our Pet Urine Removal Treatment (P.U.R.T.).
  3. Fringe Work – We take care of all of the little details. If applicable, we’ll inspect the fringe and perform any fringe detailing and if necessary, fringe bleaching.
  4. Drying – Your area rug will be hanged out to dry in our facility to ensure secure and proper drying.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is your process for cleaning area rugs?

We offer a complete area rug cleaning service. The process is washing and cleaning using the Hot Carbonated Extraction method only available from Chem-Dry. We first use our rug duster to beat the dirt and soil from the area rug. Our next step is a full rug bath and if necessary, do any fridge work (detailing, bleaching). Rugs are then hanged out to dry in our facility to ensure secure and proper drying.

Do you offer pickup and delivery?
Yes, we do! We’ll come to your home to pick up the area rug(s) you need cleaned, then deliver them back to your home as soon as we’re finished. We have a $40 fee for area rug pickup & delivery.
How long does the entire process take?
Most area rugs take 5-7 business days to be cleaned and returned.
Can you get out pet stains and smells?
Yes, we can! We are very successful when it comes to removing pet odors. We’ll soak the rug in our pet urine odor removal treatment, deep clean the rug, and then use our dehumidifier and air movers to dry the area rug.
Is Chem-Dry's cleaning process safe for my rugs?
Our effective, yet gentle, area rug cleaning and drying process preserves the dye within the fibers of your rug, leaving the colors of your rug vibrant and fresh. Our cleaning products don’t leave behind any dirt-attracting residues and help your area rugs stay cleaner longer – providing a safe and healthy home environment for your family and pets.
Why should I have my area and oriental rugs cleaned?
Area and oriental rugs usually receive a lot of traffic. Just like carpets and upholstered furniture, area and oriental rugs act as air filters for the home, trapping dirt, allergens and bacteria. A thorough, professional oriental and area rug cleaning is the only way to remove the deep-down dirt, make this area of your home look nicer and ensure that all areas of your home stay clean and healthy.

Area and oriental rugs are a beautiful addition to any home. Rugs are often put down in high-traffic areas to decorate, liven up and even protect these living spaces. Similar to carpets and upholstered furniture, area rugs act as air filters for the home, trapping dirt, allergens, and bacteria and preventing those unhealthy elements from circulating to other rooms. But area rugs are only able to do this properly if they are maintained and kept clean. Just as an air filter for your home ventilation system needs to be regularly replaced, your carpets, upholstery, and area rugs need to be regularly cleaned.

Allow the team at San Juan County Chem-Dry to take care of your finest rugs, and you will see your rug be transformed back to its original beauty with vibrant patterns and colors. It is our goal to help you have a clean and healthy home that you and your family can enjoy.
